[Lieutenant Daniel Fay Jr.] was in the siege of Boston in Washington’s army; in the battle of White Plain; he was at the surrender of Burgoyne; and he was Corporal in a company commanded by Captain Edmund Hodges. He was one of the minute men and was attached to the regiment of Col. Joe Cushing, serving in the northern army July 27 – Aug 29, 1779.
