The Zion Hotel

The Zion Hotel was built in 1902 as a place to house both visitors to the city and people who had converted to the Zion Church, moved to the city, but did not yet have a house of their own to live in.  Carlton Martin (b. 29 Jan 1859, d. 20 Aug 1928) worked at the front desk after moving to Zion in 1903, and his son Marshall (b. 12 Jan 1889, d. Oct 1948) was a bellhop there.
