People, Place, and Time

Telling my family's stories

Untitled

In 1857, due to severe weather conditions, Missouri friends and neighbours began to form a wagon train to head southward. The Millions joined this company, and, in 1858, started the trek to Texas. Along the trail, the wagon train was joined by four horsemen from Tennessee, two George brothers [Enoch and Andrew Jackson] and two Neely brothers. Since the Millions had a wagonload of daughters, it is not surprising that the four horseback riders chose to accompany this particular wagon. Later, both George brothers and one of the Neely boys married Million girls.
