The marriage record for Joseph Mühlbauer and Theresia Dimpfl – Charlie Muehlbauer’s grandparents on his father’s side. It is written in standard church latin used in the catholic world at this time, with some German thrown in just to confuse you.

Translation (rough):

7 November, prefect Cham: 1865.

Married are honorable (Groom) Joseph, legitimate son of George Mühlbauer, brewer of Arnschwang and Francisca born Brantl, daughter of a builder in Zachermühle, and (Bride) a young girl virgin Theresia, legitimate daughter of Joseph Dimpfl, a builder in Arnschwang, and Margarethe, born Mühlbauer, daughter of a mender in Arnschwang.

Witnessed by George Münch, a farmer in Nöswartling and Joseph Dimpfl, a builder of Arnschwang.

Special thanks to Franz Mühlbauer of Regensburg, who was extremely helpful and kindly went and scanned these certificates for me.

Joseph Mühlbauer > Joseph Mühlbauer > Charles Muehlbauer > etc.
