A photograph of modern Arnschwang, from As you can see, it’s a small, picturesque place, that looks suspiciously like Wisconsin.

You can see the church in the lower-right of the town.For several hundred years, every generation of Muehlbauers was married at that church, up through Charlie’s grandparents (Joseph Muehlbauer and Theresia Dimpfl). Charlie’s father was baptized there, too, and his grandparents are buried in the church yard.
